Thank you for your interest in Evans Bay Intermediate School as a fitting destination for your child’s overseas learning experience. We are a multicultural school and we welcome international enrolments.

Intermediate schools are unique and provide a middle-school education designed for the pre-adolescent age group. Emerging adolescence is such an important developmental stage.  Our school is set up with the physical, emotional and academic needs of this unique and complex group always at the forefront.

We offer all students:

  • Two years of appropriate, challenging and success-orientated learning and life experiences.

  • Varied opportunities to learn, to grow and to develop.

  • Opportunities to achieve to the best of their ability.

  • A wide range of age and developmentally appropriate activities as the platform for delivery of numeracy, literacy, science, the humanities, technology, 21st Century Competencies and the essential skills

  • The best of classroom teaching and the use of specialist teachers and facilities to prepare each student for the challenges of today, and to prepare them for secondary school and beyond.

We are supportive and positive in our approach with students as we expect them to do their best and to make the most of the opportunities offered.
